How my journey began
Overcoming adversity from trauma and personal obstacles has deeply motivated me to discover what truly helps us heal. My practice today is the result of years of personal experience, professional training, and a deep commitment to helping others live more freely—free from unnecessary fear and limitations.
I began my career in my late teens as a fitness instructor, which led me to earn a Diploma in Holistic Therapy. It was during this time that I first began to appreciate the vital connection between the mind and body. My journey continued while working for 'Mind' the mental health charity, where I served as a Recovery Worker and Tutor. In this role, I ran women’s groups and designed and led courses for Devon Recovery Learning, equipping individuals with practical tools for emotional recovery and empowerment.
Driven by a deep fascination with living ‘in the solution’, I completed a Foundation Degree in Personal Performance Coaching with NLP. My passion for finding effective, empowering approaches to help the clients I worked with led to my introduction to Solution-Focused Brief Therapy while (working at ‘Mind’)—a forward-thinking model that immediately resonated with me. I trained as a practitioner in 2014 and later went on to study under David Newton, founder of the renowned Clifton Practice, to become the Clinical Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist I am today.
To further support clients dealing with trauma, I have also trained as an EMDR Practitioner. This powerful therapeutic method helps individuals reprocess and resolve deeply held traumatic experiences, addressing the root of the issue and enabling them to move beyond stuck, outdated patterns of living, toward becoming the thriving, empowered person they were meant to be.
Throughout the years, I’ve integrated creative and somatic approaches into my work to support women in building confidence and empowerment. From my women-only THUMP boxing classes to using improvisational theatre in therapeutic settings, these tools help women reconnect with their bodies, break free from overthinking, and find healing through movement, creativity, and playful expression. I continue to run these groups when I can because laughter, play, and expression are a true tonic for the soul—helping participants feel good from the inside out!
Alongside supporting people, I absolutely adore animals! Volunteering for several years at Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary inspired me to train in The Trust Technique®, a mindfulness-based approach that helps animals feel safe and build trust. In my free time, I enjoy Pilates, dancing, creating, comedy and theatre, spending time with friends, and spirituality
